Areic dose rate
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000774
The areic dose of energetic particles introduced into a solid during a time interval, divided by that interval, which makes it the particle flux through the surface. It is expressed in particles per square centimetre per second. For a stationary parallel beam it equals the flux multiplied by the cosine of the angle of incidence.
