Arrhythmia

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000791

An abnormality in the heart's rhythm, rate, or conduction system, causing the heart to beat too fast, too slow, or irregularly. These disturbances arise from issues with the electrical impulses that coordinate heart muscle contractions. Arrhythmias are diagnosed using an electrocardiogram (ECG) to record the heart's electrical activity.
