Autoimmune infertility
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000976
A condition where an individual's immune system produces antibodies that attack reproductive cells or tissues, thereby impairing fertility. These autoantibodies can target sperm, eggs, or components of the reproductive tract, interfering with processes such as gamete maturation, fertilization, or embryo implantation. This can affect both males and females, leading to difficulties in conceiving.
