Azides
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001048
A class of chemical compounds containing the azide functional group, which consists of three nitrogen atoms bonded in a linear arrangement (N3-). Organic azides have an organic group attached to one of the terminal nitrogen atoms. These compounds are known for their high energy content and can be explosive.
