Bootstrapping

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001437

A resampling technique used in chemometrics to estimate the sampling distribution of an estimator by repeatedly drawing samples with replacement from the original data set. This method allows for the calculation of confidence intervals and hypothesis testing without assuming a specific underlying distribution for the data. It is often applied when analytical solutions for statistical inference are difficult to obtain.
