Species sensitivity distribution

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011090

A statistical distribution that describes the variation in sensitivity of different species to a particular toxic substance. This distribution is used to estimate the hazardous concentration for a given ecosystem. It typically plots the cumulative probability of species being affected against the concentration of the toxicant.
