Chain conformation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001834
The spatial arrangement of a polymer chain that can be changed by rotation around single bonds without breaking any covalent bonds. This arrangement is influenced by steric hindrance and intermolecular forces. Different chain conformations contribute to the overall physical properties of a polymer, such as its elasticity or crystallinity.
