Chemical purity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001958
A measure of the degree to which a chemical substance is free from other chemical substances. It is expressed as a mass fraction, mole fraction, or volume fraction of the main component relative to the total substance. For a certified reference material, the chemical purity is a stated property value with a corresponding measurement uncertainty, for instance, 0.9998 g/g ± 0.0001 g/g.
