Radiochemical purity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009875
The fraction of the total radioactivity in a sample that is present in the stated chemical form of the desired radionuclide. It is a measure of the extent to which a radiolabeled compound is free from other radioactive chemical species. Radiochemical purity is expressed as a percentage and is determined using separation techniques like chromatography or electrophoresis to isolate and quantify any radiochemical impurities.
