Radiochemical yield

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009877

The fraction or percentage of a specific radionuclide initially present in a sample that is recovered after a radiochemical separation procedure. It quantifies the efficiency of the chemical separation process for the target radionuclide. This yield is often determined by adding a known amount of a non-radioactive isotope carrier.
