Chemical yield

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001972

The amount of a desired product obtained from a chemical reaction, expressed as a fraction or percentage of the theoretical maximum amount that could be formed. It is calculated by dividing the actual mass or moles of product by the theoretical mass or moles. This value reflects the efficiency of a synthetic process or an analytical separation.
