Radiation-chemical yield

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009833

The number of molecules of a specific product formed or reactant consumed per 100 eV of energy absorbed from ionizing radiation. It quantifies the efficiency of a radiation-induced chemical reaction. This value is often denoted by the G-value and is expressed in molecules per 100 eV.
