G value
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004738
The yield of a radiation-chemical process, counted as the number of molecules (or other defined events) formed, destroyed or changed for every 100 eV of energy that the system absorbs from ionizing radiation. Older work quotes it in molecules per 100 eV, while SI practice uses moles per joule; one molecule per 100 eV is about 1.04 × 10⁻⁷ mol/J.
