Theoretical ceramic yield

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011921

The maximum possible mass percentage of ceramic material that can be obtained from a precursor polymer upon ceramization, assuming complete conversion and no loss of non-ceramic components. This value is calculated based on the elemental composition of the polymer and the stoichiometry of the ceramic product. It provides an upper limit for the efficiency of ceramic formation from polymeric precursors.
