Ceramic-reinforced polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001808
A polymer composite material where ceramic particles, fibers, or whiskers are dispersed within a polymer matrix to enhance its mechanical, thermal, or electrical properties. The ceramic phase provides stiffness, strength, and heat resistance to the polymer. These materials are used in applications requiring improved performance beyond that of the neat polymer.
