Classical conditioning

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002102

A type of associative learning where a neutral stimulus becomes associated with a naturally occurring stimulus, eventually eliciting a conditioned response similar to the natural response. This process involves pairing an unconditioned stimulus, which naturally triggers a response, with a conditioned stimulus. Ivan Pavlov's experiments with dogs salivating to a bell are a classic example.
