Collinearity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002216
A statistical phenomenon in which two or more predictor variables in a multiple regression model are highly correlated with each other. This high correlation can make it difficult to estimate the individual effects of the independent variables on the dependent variable. In computational drug design, it can complicate the interpretation of quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) models.
