Multilinear least squares regression
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007647
A statistical method used to model the relationship between a dependent variable and two or more independent variables by fitting a linear equation to observed data. It minimizes the sum of the squares of the residuals, which are the differences between observed and predicted values. This technique is a fundamental tool in multivariate calibration for quantitative analysis.
