Prediction error sum of squares

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009368

A statistical measure used in multivariate calibration and regression analysis to assess the predictive ability of a model. It is calculated by summing the squared differences between the predicted values and the actual observed values for a set of validation samples. A lower value indicates a better predictive performance of the model.
