Least-squares technique
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006504
A statistical method used to find the best-fitting curve or line to a set of data points by minimizing the sum of the squares of the residuals. The residual is the difference between the observed value and the value predicted by the model. This technique is widely applied in data analysis and model fitting in chemistry.
