Weighted least squares regression
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012671
A statistical regression method that assigns different weights to each data point during the fitting process, typically to account for varying precision or reliability of the observations. Data points with higher precision receive larger weights, influencing the regression line more strongly. This approach is used when the assumption of homoscedasticity (constant variance) is violated.
