Errors-in-variables regression

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004089

A statistical regression method used when both the dependent and independent variables are subject to measurement errors. This approach accounts for the uncertainty in all observed variables, unlike ordinary least squares regression which assumes error-free independent variables. It is particularly relevant in analytical chemistry where experimental measurements inherently contain inaccuracies.
