Consecutive reactions
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002454
A series of chemical reactions where the product of one step becomes the reactant for the next step. The overall rate of product formation in such a sequence depends on the rates of all individual steps. An example is the decay of a radioactive isotope through several intermediate species.
