Complex mechanism
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002325
A reaction mechanism that involves more than one elementary step, proceeding through a sequence of intermediate species. Each elementary step describes a single molecular event, and the overall reaction rate is determined by the slowest step in the sequence. The individual steps can include unimolecular, bimolecular, or termolecular reactions.
