Composite reaction
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002333
A chemical reaction that proceeds through a sequence of two or more elementary reactions. The overall stoichiometry and rate law of a composite reaction are determined by the individual steps and their relative rates. This type of reaction is also known as a stepwise reaction or a complex reaction in kinetic studies.
