Cost-benefit analysis

A systematic process for calculating and comparing the benefits and costs of a project, decision, or policy. This analysis aims to determine if the benefits outweigh the costs, expressed in monetary terms. It is used to evaluate the economic feasibility of environmental regulations or public health interventions.
