Dynamic surface tension
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003505
The surface tension of a liquid measured at a non-equilibrium state, where the surface area is changing or the concentration of surface-active molecules is still evolving. This contrasts with static surface tension, which is measured at equilibrium. It is relevant in processes involving rapid surface formation, such as spraying, foaming, and printing.
