Ecogenetics
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003546
The study of genetically determined differences in susceptibility to the effects of environmental agents, including chemical pollutants and drugs. This field investigates how an individual's genetic makeup influences their response to external factors. Ecogenetics explores polymorphisms in genes encoding enzymes involved in xenobiotic metabolism or DNA repair.
