Teratogenetics
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011868
The study of the genetic factors that influence the susceptibility to, or the manifestation of, developmental abnormalities caused by teratogens. This field investigates how an individual's genetic makeup can modify their response to environmental teratogenic exposures. It explores gene-environment interactions in the etiology of birth defects.
