Electroretinogram
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003789
A diagnostic test that measures the electrical responses of light-sensitive cells in the retina of the eye. Electrodes placed on the cornea and skin near the eye record the electrical potentials generated by photoreceptor cells and other retinal neurons in response to flashes of light. This test assesses retinal function and diagnoses retinal diseases.
