Elevated plus maze
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003807
A behavioral test used in pharmacological research to assess anxiety-like behavior in rodents. The apparatus consists of two open arms and two enclosed arms extending from a central platform, elevated above the floor. The time spent in the open arms is inversely correlated with anxiety levels, providing a measure of anxiolytic or anxiogenic effects of compounds.
