Barnes maze
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001115
A behavioral task used to assess spatial learning and memory in rodents, particularly in studies of neurocognition and neurotoxicity. The test involves a circular platform with multiple holes, one of which leads to an escape box, while the others are false exits. Animals learn to locate the escape hole using spatial cues, and performance is measured by latency and errors.
