Maze

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007062

A controlled environment, typically a system of interconnected pathways, used in behavioral neuroscience to assess spatial learning, memory, and cognitive function in animals. Subjects navigate the maze to find a reward or escape an aversive stimulus, with their performance measured by parameters such as time to completion or number of errors. Common types include the radial arm maze and the Morris water maze.
