T-maze
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012093
A simple apparatus used in behavioral neuroscience and toxicology to study learning, memory, and decision-making in laboratory animals, typically rodents. The maze consists of a starting arm leading to a choice point with two perpendicular arms, forming a 'T' shape. An animal's performance, such as its choice of arm to enter based on a reward or cue, is measured to assess cognitive functions like spatial learning or working memory.
