Epileptiform

Describing electrical activity in the brain that resembles the patterns observed during an epileptic seizure, even if a full clinical seizure is not present. This activity is characterized by sharp waves, spikes, or spike-and-wave complexes on an electroencephalogram (EEG). Epileptiform discharges can occur interictally, between seizures.
