Epistasis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004034
A genetic phenomenon where the expression of one gene is affected by the presence of one or more other genes. This interaction is not between alleles of the same gene, but between different genes. Epistasis can result in complex inheritance patterns that deviate from simple Mendelian ratios.
