Equilibrium moisture content

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004065

The moisture content of a material when it is in equilibrium with the surrounding atmosphere, meaning there is no net exchange of water between the material and the air. This value depends on the relative humidity and temperature of the environment. For pharmaceutical products, this parameter influences stability, flow properties, and dissolution rates.
