Equivalent hydrodynamic radius
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004079
The radius of a hypothetical hard sphere that exhibits the same hydrodynamic behavior as a macromolecule or colloidal particle in a solvent. This parameter is derived from measurements of diffusion coefficients or intrinsic viscosity. It provides a measure of the effective size of a polymer in solution, accounting for its shape and solvation.
