Exciton mean free path

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004195

The average distance an exciton travels in a material before undergoing a scattering event or recombination. This parameter provides insight into the efficiency of energy transfer within a semiconductor or polymer. It is a measure of how far an exciton can propagate before losing its energy.
