Exciton-phonon coupling
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004196
The interaction between an exciton and a phonon, which is a quantum of lattice vibration. This coupling describes how the energy of an exciton can be transferred to or from the vibrational modes of the material's crystal lattice. It influences the optical properties and energy relaxation pathways in semiconductors and organic materials.
