Foetus

The developing offspring of a viviparous animal, including humans, from the completion of embryonic development until birth. During this stage, major organ systems are formed and undergo further maturation, and the organism experiences rapid growth. In humans, the fetal period typically begins around the ninth week of gestation and continues until delivery.
