Post-implantation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009308
Relating to the period of embryonic or fetal development that occurs after the blastocyst has attached to and embedded within the uterine wall. This phase encompasses major developmental events including gastrulation, organogenesis, and fetal growth, continuing until birth. In developmental toxicology studies, this period is a focus for assessing the effects of substances on organ formation and maturation.
