Post-filter effect
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009307
A phenomenon in molecular luminescence spectroscopy where the emitted luminescence is reabsorbed by other species in the sample solution before reaching the detector. This reabsorption leads to a decrease in the observed luminescence intensity and can distort the emission spectrum. It is more pronounced in concentrated solutions or when there is spectral overlap between emission and absorption bands.
