Pre-filter effect
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009381
The reduction in the intensity of excitation radiation reaching the sample in luminescence spectroscopy due to absorption by the sample itself or by other components in the solution. This phenomenon leads to a non-linear relationship between analyte concentration and measured luminescence intensity. It is more pronounced at higher analyte concentrations.
