Postmortem

Relating to the period or events occurring after death. In toxicology and pathology, it describes the examination of a body, including tissues and fluids, to determine the cause of death or to detect the presence of drugs, toxins, or pathological changes. The term is contrasted with antemortem, which describes events or conditions existing before death.
