Fragile glass
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004634
A type of glass-forming liquid characterized by a strong temperature dependence of its viscosity near the glass transition temperature. The viscosity of a fragile glass changes rapidly with small temperature variations, indicating a highly cooperative molecular rearrangement. This behavior is quantified by a high fragility index.
