Ground treatment of plants
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005037
The dusting or spraying of plants with pesticides from ground-based equipment, whether carried by hand, fixed to or towed by a tractor, or built into a special machine. It contrasts with aerial application, in which the product is released from an aircraft. The product is placed on the plants themselves, which distinguishes it from soil treatment, where the product is worked into or applied to the soil.
