Mulching film
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007617
A polymer film placed on the soil surface around plants to control soil temperature, limit weed growth, and prevent moisture loss. These films are often made from polyethylene or biodegradable polymers like polylactic acid (PLA). The color of the film, such as black, clear, or silver, is selected to achieve specific effects on the soil environment and crop growth.
