Hepatotoxic

Describing a substance or agent that causes damage or injury to liver cells, leading to impaired liver function. Exposure to hepatotoxic compounds can result in conditions such as hepatitis, cirrhosis, or liver failure. The degree of hepatotoxicity depends on the dose, duration of exposure, and individual susceptibility.
