Homology model
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005377
A three-dimensional structural model of a protein constructed based on its amino acid sequence similarity to a protein of known experimental structure. This computational method relies on the principle that homologous proteins share similar folds. The accuracy of the model depends on the sequence identity to the template.
